2022 Fast Pitch Recap

The 2022-23 Accelerator cohort is doing the powerful work of creating a more liberated Los Angeles, dismantling unjust systems and rebuilding systems that serve all Angelenos. On March 30th, 2022, the Fast Pitch audience met these 10 powerful leaders as they presented their three-minute pitches painting the story of their work and the LA they’re building.

Our MC’s and SJPLA Board Members Kaci Patterson and Amber Sheikh, AKA Kamber, ushered us through the program that included a musical performance by Ozomatli and a discussion with Fast Pitch alum and SJPLA Board Member Sam Prater. Throughout Fast Pitch, the audience brought love and positivity through the chat and donations. By the end of the program, nearly 100 donors contributed over $25,000 to the collective work of the organizations.

We’d be thrilled if more supporters contributed to this interconnected vision for liberation, as we each have a role to play in creating these reimagined futures. Donate by texting SJPLAFASTPITCH to 707070, or visit sjpla.org/give. You can donate to a specific organization or to the SJP Collective Fund which evenly distributes donations between the ten organizations and SJPLA.
