Mirror Memoirs

Amita Swadhin

Amita Swadhin (they/them/theirs), Founding Co-Director

“We will increase public support to end carceral interventions against child sexual abuse, end the policing and criminalization of survivors, and increase funding for survivor services led by oppressed communities (especially those led by BIPOC trans people).”

“Our Co-Directors, Board members, and our entire core membership base are all Two Spirit, transgender, non-binary, intersex and/or queer BIPOC child sexual abuse survivors. Most of us have directly experienced state violence in connection to or in addition to the individual experience of childhood sexual assault, and all of us live with some form of trauma-related disability."

Mirror Memoirs is a national abolitionist project intervening in rape culture by uplifting the narratives, healing, and leadership of queer and trans people of color who survived child sexual abuse.
