“As part of the Coalition for Prevention and Awareness in LA Metro, we conducted focus groups in our communities to better understand the needs of our communities and help us tailor services and programming. The feedback from the local community regarding our unhoused neighbors was very disheartening. While those in the sector understand the principles of housing first, harm reduction and trauma informed care, the average person doesn’t have the bandwidth to contextualize these concepts. It is my goal to have organizations who have similar funding become better connected in a coalition so as to better understand our combined efforts and help more people.”

Marcos E. Delgadillo is the current Executive Director of Integrated Recovery Network, a social service agency based at MacArthur Park that helps vulnerable populations by providing them access to housing, healthcare and jobs. Marcos is a results-driven professional with 10+ years of direct service, program and leadership experience administering State and County programs. He has a demonstrated track record of advancing through roles and expertise in managing cross-functional teams, understanding systemic discrepancies and motivating others to reconsider outdated interventions; with a strong background in promoting underserved peoples, including people experiencing homelessness, formerly incarcerated individuals, people with a history of mental illness, and people who have been disproportionately affected by the War on Drugs.
