In this session, participants will be guided through a breathwork practice to release things that are feeling stuck in our bodies and hearts. The session will guide participants through gentle movement, a breathwork practice, and time to pause and center. No experience or equipment necessary. Come as you are to breathe and release.
Connor T. Johnson is a certified breathwork, meditation and yoga instructor in addition to his work in the in the homelessness response/rehousing sector. Connor started his career as a Case Manager in the Skid Row area of Los Angeles and has over 15 years of experience working in systems change and increasing housing, services, and healthcare for extremely vulnerable individuals.
In recent years, Connor has been focused on personal wellbeing for the workforce. He sees opportunities to better support those who are working in homelessness and rehousing response sector in creating wellness in community.
Connor has a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning focused on Housing and Community Economic Development, founded a nonprofit social enterprise for workforce development (Would Works), and instructs yoga, breathwork, and meditation in addition to consulting work.
SJPLA’s Wellbeing Series is a free workshop every second Thursday of the month at 11 am. The workshops introduce a variety of healing modalities as part of our Racial Equity in Homelessness Initiative. These sessions promote personal rest, renewal, and connection creating space for discussion on how to sustain wellbeing practices.
