From the Zoot Suit Riots to the Civil Rights Movement, from the ‘92 Uprisings to today, our city has consistently risen up to protect our communities and challenge systems of oppression. This weekend's actions continue that sacred tradition.

To every protector who showed up this weekend and beyond: You embody the Los Angeles we believe in. Your courage in the face of escalating state violence demonstrates that our communities will not be terrorized into silence.
