Shanice Buggs is a dedicated advocate and leader within the homeless services sector where she has worked primarily with women experiencing homelessness in the Skid Row community.

Shanice currently holds the role of Director of Every Woman Housed at the Downtown Women’s Center, where she oversees multiple programs that permanently house individuals from the Skid Row community across Los Angeles County. She is committed to ensuring each person that she encounters receives the support and care they deserve.

Shanice's passion lies in the liberation of underserved communities. Through her current and previous roles, she has championed for women in the Skid Row community, helping them attain their personal definition of stability. She is deeply committed to highlighting the needs and voices of those she serves, and she strives to bring about meaningful change in the lives of underserved individuals.
