“Right now there are over 50,000 immigrants detained in county jails and for-profit prisons. But this wasn’t always the case. Prior to the 1980s there were only 30 people held in immigration detention on any given day.”

Freedom for Immigrants works to abolish immigration detention, while ending the isolation of people currently suffering in this profit-driven system.
